He is a former instructor at the University of Michigan Dental School and the World Clinical Laser Institute.

Zia has taken numerous postgraduate education courses, specifically selecting courses focusing on esthetic dentistry. He has recent training in anterior esthetics from the prestigious Las Vegas Institute, as well as in laser dentistry, which allows him to offer pain-free and conservative treatment. Dr. Rafiqs commitment to life long education ensures you the highest level of care, both today and tomorrow.

Dr. Rafiq and his wife have two beautiful children. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, tennis, weightlifting, and spending time with his family.

Zia was born in Detroit and raised in Detroit. He received his dental degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1995.  Zia opened his practice in West Dearborn and has perfected many forms of dentistry for his patients.

He simply wants to provide the best care possible to his patients.
