Both our Dearborn Dentist & Brownstown Dental Clinic provide dental crowns and bridge consultations for patients. These procedures are extremely effective for restoring a tooth that has become infected, damaged, or has fallen out. We can complete these procedures in a way that looks natural while resolving oral health issues. This way, a patient can regain the functionality of their tooth without giving the appearance of any dental work.
A dental crown is a cap that surrounds the tooth. We typically use a crown to restore a damaged tooth, but they can also use it to improve the appearance of a smile. A crown can consist of three different materials, all-metal, ceramic-on-metal and all-ceramic. The location of the crown in the teeth will determine the best material to use. For example, front teeth need to have an all-ceramic crown, if possible, since it looks the most natural. Patients may often use ceramic-on-metal crowns since they look natural but have the durability that only metal can provide.
A dental bridge is a way to replace a missing tooth. At All Brite Dental, we provide clients with dental bridges if they want to replace a tooth without wearing dentures or undergoing surgery. The new tooth is held in place by two crowns. It looks natural and consists of a ceramic or porcelain material to match the surrounding teeth. As a cosmetic dentist, Zia Rafiq will make sure that the new tooth looks and feels amazing.
If you are getting dental crowns or a dental bridge for cosmetic reasons, we recommend that you whiten your teeth first. At All Brite Dental, we offer teeth whitening procedures that can improve the appearance of your smile quickly and easily. It is important to have this procedure done first because the material that crowns and bridges are made out of are both stain and bleach resistant. That means that if it is created to match yellow teeth, it will remain yellow even if you have your teeth whitened at a later date.
When you have the procedure done first, your new crown or bridge will be made to match your new brilliantly white teeth. When preparing for the procedure, we recommend that patients take a day off of work. If possible, you may want to take a couple of days off. It is normal for teeth to be somewhat sensitive, and it is easier if you don’t have to worry about meeting clients and keeping up with your busy schedule.
When getting dental crowns and dental bridges installed, it is advisable that you work with a cosmetic dentist that knows how to complete the procedure in a way that looks natural. At All Brite Dental, we can do so while also working to keep our patients as comfortable as possible by using sedation dentistry. The process for both procedures is fairly similar. Before getting started, an impression is taken of the teeth so that the new crown or bridge can be created in a dental lab.
When placing a dental crown around a tooth, All Brite Dental starts by preparing the tooth. We will need to remove a portion of the enamel so that there is room for the new crown to surround the tooth without pushing other teeth out of place. Once complete, we will clean the tooth and secure a temporary crown to it using removable glue. Patients typically wear a temporary crown for around two weeks while waiting for a permanent one to be created in the lab. During this time, it is important to be careful with what you eat and how you brush your teeth since the temporary is designed to come off.
When the dental restoratives are complete, patients return to our office, so that we can remove the temporaries and bond the permanent ones to the tooth. For a dental crown, we will secure the cap around the tooth and complete it through dental bonding. With a bridge, a crown is placed on the two teeth that are surrounding the missing one. On top of the crown is a piece that looks like natural gums that will hold the new tooth in place. These two crowns serve as anchors for this synthetic “bridge” and makes a new tooth as durable as it can be. Patients depend on this procedure as a way to replace missing teeth in a way that looks natural and restores the functionality of the missing tooth.
When getting dental Restoratives, your teeth will be somewhat sensitive after they have been prepared. This is why you need to wear a temporary crown while waiting for a permanent one to be created. We use sedation dentistry to ensure that you will not experience any discomfort during the procedure and after the fact you simply need to take some oral pain medication for a couple of days until you feel better.
The benefit of wearing a crown is that it surrounds and protects the tooth. This means that regardless of how damaged the tooth was, you can eat your favorite foods without fear of discomfort. A crown can restore the functionality of your mouth by making it easy to eat, drink and speak like normal. This is ideal for people that are suffering from severely sensitive teeth, have a cracked or chipped tooth or have undergone a root canal. Similarly, a bridge makes it possible to eat and speak like normal without worrying about your new tooth becoming loose or falling out. They are both ideal for people that have active lifestyles and don’t want to be constrained by their teeth.

Awesome service from the front desk girls to the hygienist and Dr Zia. 5 stars Thank you for being wonderful
Been going here for a couple decades. Friendly staff, kind/honest hygienists, and a superb dentist.
Very happy with the friendly staff
AMAZING experience at All Brite. So happy I made the switch. Dr. Rafiq is very thorough and caring and fun! He caught 5 cavities that were recently missed by my other dentist. He offered me valuable feedback on how to improve my oral health and manage my grinding. The staff are also all extremely pleasant and easy to work with. Highly recommend!!
Absolutely great place to go! They were thorough and super friendly and co-pays were the lowest of any dentist office i can remember going to. It's a smaller dentistry and located on first floor of Business Suites, but it had a more personable feeling than just another patient. I'd highly recommend going here.
I received my new crown today. Looks great and feels great. I love All Brite. Keep up the good work!
Wonderful & Friendly staff.
Came in for a crown. Everyone always so welcoming here. Explanation of what was going to be done was clear and experienced pain free dentistry.
My whole experience at the office was very very nice everyone was extremely helpful
Michelle is the Best! Very caring , professional & compassionate for others. I really appreciate you of all my services
All I can say is AMAZING! I just switched over to this dentist office and they have been so attentive and kind. On my first appointment everyone made me feel so welcome and the doctor spent over an hour with me just to get to me and explain what my xrays. Today I had a slight mishap and lost a filling. They were able to squeeze me in immediately and took care of me as if I were their only patient. Front receptionists and assistants are also super friendly. All around great place!
I love All Brite Dental. The hygienists are absolutely awesome and I've never had such a great cleaning. I have had issues with my gums and they have been life savers. It is difficult to get later and weekend appointments with work schedules, but they are always willing to put you on a waiting list and call me when something becomes available. Great customer service.
Great dentist
Staff are always friendly and quick!
I have been coming here for a little over a year now and have had a great experience every time. The staff is friendly and professional and the procedures I have had done have been pain free. It feels like family in the office and you can't help but feel relaxed and welcomed by everyone there. I would recommend All Brite Dental to anyone in need of a dentist.
After faithfully staying with the same dental clinic since 1973 (!!) I needed and wanted to change. A friend fortunately referred me to All Brite Dental and Dr. Rafiq. Little did I know, after only one visit, I felt like I had known the staff and Dr. Rafiq for a very long time...when I got home the day of my first visit I thought about the experience and asked myself "is that what it's supposed to be like?". I can't say enough about how everyone was so personable, caring and attentive, like family that you actually love! And, knowledgeable and professional to boot!! ♥ ♥ ♥
Friendly, professional and fun staff! An outstanding experience!
I have had nothing but a positive experience at All Brite Dental. I have had great and thorough cleanings. Everyone in the office is extremely friendly and pleasant. They are always flexible and helpful. I love my new dentist!
My first visit to Dr. Rafiq's office was for an emergency visit. They fit me in their schedule the same day and treated me as if I had gone there for many years. The staff was very friendly. Dr. Rafiq was very kind and gentle. My husband and children will be going to this office now as well. I would highly recommend this dentist office!!
After my dentist retired I was nervous about finding a new one, but finally after a few years I picked All Brite Dental due to all the great reviews, and I'm glad I did! Dr. Rafiq and all of the staff are awesome. Super helpful and friendly. So far I've had a cleaning and gotten some fillings. Both were completely painless! Definitely would recommend.
