After graduating from the University of Michigan Dental School, class of 1995, Dr. Zia Rafiq did a general practice residency in Syracuse, New York. During his residency he worked on some of the most broken down mouths imaginable. After his residency, Dr. Rafiq was asked to teach at the University of Michigan, which he did part time. While teaching he worked in private practice as an associate and quickly learned that most patients did not enjoy their visits to the dentist. During this associateship phase Dr. Rafiq promised himself that when he had his own practice, he would make it so patients enjoyed coming. Thus the creation of All Brite Dental.
Between both offices, Dr. Ayesha and Zia Rafiq , have a combined experience of 55 years of hands on clinical practice. This experience results in more accurate diagnosis, precise fits of dental appliances such as crowns, dentures and partials with confidence.
Many of the large chain offices are usually training grounds for newer dentist or older dentists that need to retire. These offices help new dentists “work out the kinks” and are heavily incentivised to over treat patients to reach high production goals. In addition, today there is an influx of private equity investment firms that are buying multiple private offices and incorporating these same high sales tactics to later sell off to investors for very large profits. Samantha AlexanderHad a very good experience here. First had a cleaning that was on time (no extra wait time). The cleaning went well and they found some cavities (not good for me but no impact on the dentist office :)). Then after the cleaning the dentist came in to review the cleaners findings for the cavities and found an additional one. Then I set up an appointment for about a week later to get all the cavities taken care of. On the day of the appointment they called me and said they were running ahead of schedule and let me come in earlier. So not only no wait, I got in earlier and out earlier. During the filling of my cavities I had novocaine but it seemed like a nerve was still hit (could/probably was just me being nervous) but even so they still gave me some extra novocaine just in case. Overall the filling of 5 cavities was painless and they made sure my bite was not effected by the cavity fillings (for the larger one). I would definitely recommend them. My kids go there as well and they are very kid friendly. My son was on the no cavity list and he was put into a drawing and won a $50 gift card to Toys R Us.

Nothing was rushed and The exams were almost painless. Pretty good after a 10 year absence, especially since I rarely brushed, never flossed, and drank nothing but coke and pepsi.

Russ MilliganI've been going to the All Brite Dental office on Allen Road in Woodhaven for around 4 months. In that time I had an exam, full mouth xrays, filling repairs, cleaning and teeth whitening. I'll have another cleaning in a couple weeks. Everyone there has been professional, friendly, caring, and easy to communicate with. They send email reminders for appts. and call if able to fit me in earlier than my scheduled appt. All of the procedures were pain free. Dr Rafiq is very caring and respectful of her patients. She knew about a condition I have, and why I need medication when having dental procedures. No one at the office give me flack, tried to talk me out of using antibiotics or made negative comments about people using the internet to self-diagnose (which was why I left the last dental practice I was going to). I appreciate all of the support and decency they have showed me.
