He earned his dental degree from the University of Michigan in 1995, after attending Wayne State University where he learned about general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, periodontal care, restorative procedures, crowns, implants, and veneers. Prior to entering private practice, he served a general practice residency at NYSU.
He is a former instructor at the University of Michigan Dental School and a member of the World Clinical Laser Institute. Dr. Rafiq has taken numerous postgraduate education courses, specifically selecting courses focusing on cosmetic dentistry, and is a member of the American Dental Association.
Dr. Rafiq has training in anterior esthetics from the prestigious LV Institute, as well as in laser dentistry, which allows him to offer pain-free oral healthcare options that improve outcomes.
