Dentist in Dearborn, MI

Zia Rafiq was born in Detroit and raised in the Downriver area where he attended Woodhaven High School. After graduation in 1988 he attended Wayne State University for his undergraduate studies. After just two and a half years of undergrad Zia was accepted early to University Of Michigan Dental School in Ann Arbor! At the University of Michigan he was taught about general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, periodontal care, restorative care, pediatric care, oral surgery and many other aspects of dental care including veneers and implants. Upon graduation in 1995, Dr. Rafiq  felt he needed more training in dealing with really broken down mouths so he decided to do a general practice residency. Dr. Rafiq was matched for a residency at State University of New York Upstate Hospital in Syracuse, New York. 

After residency he was asked by a Clinical Instructor from University of Michigan to come and teach at the dental school. While teaching part time  he also worked in private practice.  During this time he  took the Florida board exam and passed this very difficult test needed to practice in Florida. After teaching Dr. Rafiq practiced in Florida from 1997 to 2000. In Florida he practiced in many clinical settings where he honed in on his skills. After a few short months of returning back to Michigan he started his own practice. On May 8th of 2000 All Brite Dental was started in Dearborn and has been there ever since.

Dr Rafiq is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Detroit District Dental Society, World Clinical Laser Institute and  Las Vegas Institute of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr Rafiq is married to a dentist and has two beautiful and loving children. In his spare time he enjoys reading, tennis, working out and traveling.
